Premonition Giftings with ADHD

by Jedd

Yes, I have had similar experiences with premonition. Mine are very short-term ... in other words I often know exactly what someone is going to say before they say it (even if it's out of character or unexpected), or I can sense danger or events in general just before they happen. I don't think of this as a paranormal ability. Although it it difficult for me to focus on things, my personal belief is that my subconscious is able to piece together subtle stimuli and allow me to expect upcoming events. It would make sense that ADD would contribute to this, since my mind is jumping around all the time, taking in a larger sample of external stimuli.

Then again, I had a friend that experienced what he called prophetic dreams, which almost always came true. He told me about one once before the event itself occurred, and sure enough, the next day he was spot on. He was brilliant, though, and I expect this ability of his is related to his mind's ability to piece together more complex events ... in his case it occurred while sleeping (when the subconscious has the opportunity to run wild).

My point is ... my friend did not have ADD, and I do. While it is possible that those with ADHD are more likely to have these abilities, I do not think it is restricted to just us.
