ADHD Basics Newsletter, Issue #014 -- ADHD Diet Change - Drug Free
April 15, 2008

ADHD can be helped with an ADHD Diet. I know this from my personal experience and from those who write me and tell me this.

Some time ago, a mother wrote me about her story of the struggles she had with her son and his ADHD. She found the Feingold Diet and gave it a try. She also gave her son natural supplements trying to rescue him from the medication that he was on.

She just sent me an email and updated me on the progress. It took her 7 years and her son is now drug free. This is a great feeling to accomplish this, especially when the medical world says no, it can't happen.

I don't know all the obstacles she faced, but I know it can be done in a shorter period of time. If a doctor can change a dose of medication from 50mg to 30 mg in 1 day, then people can reduce their medications at a faster pace with the supervision of their doctor.

I am very happy for this mother and son. On the other hand I am very saddened. Many parents just don't have the time or the desire to help their child. They are looking for a magic pill that doesn't exist.

They want to run their child to McDonald's everyday and use a magic pill to get rid of the symptoms that these kinds of foods cause.

If you want to help yourself, a loved one, your child, to live a natural life, free of medication, you can do it.

I just want you to know that.
