Gifted ADHD and INFJ

I am 27, was never diagnosed with ADHD, but notice that I have had many of the symptoms all my life. Since I became a Christian and started working on myself, I started on medication for another disorder, which is taking away most of the symptoms.

I have however been spiritually gifted in that I have dreams and premonitions and can sense spirits around me. I also have a great talent in predicting how people will react. Another example is a life coaching course my husband is doing currently.

I have never done one of these and I don't get to speak to my husband until the next morning after the call. However, when he sits down on the bed and says "Al right..." I would tell him I need to talk to him about something and go right into the course materials they discussed the night before. Sometimes to the word.

I wouldn't know that what I had to say had anything to do with the course, it just comes up for me. This is so cool!

Recently, God has blessed me with healing hands and I give him all the glory for that, being able to help people like that. A week ago, God healed a woman with a brain tumor through me and I feel so honoured - little me, used like that!

I am a Christian, and have taken the Meyers Briggs test twice a few years apart and am undeniably INFJ, and i have ADD.
I just want to sit on this page for a few... and absorb that there are a couple people like me on the planet, in being ADD, CHRISTIAN, and INFJ. Labels labels labels but yes they represent legitimate truths and challenges.

Thanks for your story. I have just been diagnosed with ADD, I test INFJ and have a strong preference for INFJ and identify with what is said about the connection to the spiritual world whether the Holy Spirit, good spirits or evil spirits.

I lead worship and sometimes can sense the atmospheres of places, do have vivid spiritual dreams and believe in healing with the laying on of hands.

I am 29 and have found ADD+INFJ a difficult thing to cope with in the working world, work has been one big difficult trial. thanks for reminding me of the other gifts that society doesn't think much of.

Am persuaded that intuitives are more predisposed and can be trained to identify and maximize Holy Spirit led ministry.

I too, am sensitive to good and evil. My intuition on strangers in general is most always right on target. I have noticed this same attribute in babies and dogs. Something in life makes you lose this ability as you grow, but not me. My son is ADHD, and so is his father, and several uncles. I think I may be too.

I never really looked at it as a gift before now. There are times honestly, I wish I were not so sensitive to other people, as I tend to shy away from the people I sense as 'there is something about this person that is wrong or evil'. Most people are not aware of this, and will think you are nuts. Time and again, I have proven I can trust my instincts. I also, have dreams that do really happen sometimes.

I see the world very spiritually, but do not believe in ghosts or communicating with the dead. We are laid to rest when we die. Rather, I believe the existence of angels and demons is very real, as in the Bible. I have never healed anyone. But my prayers are very sincere, and my faith is large, and I believe the Lord listens to me and answers them according to His will.

I have seen many many answered prayers. I never looked at this as a spiritual gift before. It is one that is silent, and private, and no one but me and God knows about it. I still do not know how to handle my intuition. Once before, I attended a large church, every Sunday, I sensed Satan to the point I had cold chills every time I went there. Never could understand it.

Several months later, the preacher stepped down, for he had given in to sin and had been having a sexual affair with an elder's wife. When the new preacher began, I sensed peace within the church. Now in a different town with a different church, I sense something very off with the current preacher. Something harsh, and fierce, and scary.

I love his wife to bits and pieces, she is wonderful. I do not go for my fear of 'what is wrong with this man'. I trust my instincts enough to know something IS wrong, I just never can see exactly what it is and pray that it unfolds. That God exposes the truth.

God gives us a gift and we just have to practice using it. It really isn't anything we do because then we get the glory for it.

If you read the Bible, you will see where Jesus and his followers put their hands on people and they were healed. At times they just spoke the healing and it happened.

You just use these examples to try. I learned at a church I atteneded to stick your fingers in their ears when praying for healing for the deaf. I think I saw this being done in the Bible also.

I have also laid my hands on people and this heat was transferred into their body as long as my hands were on them. Its God's doing. Thats all I can say.

I am so intrigued by your story. I have often times wondered why I felt good and evil as well as god at such a young age. I was not raised in a religious family and never taught about spirituality, God or Jesus. I just always seemed to just know they exsisted and could feel them. I prayed and talked to god at a very young age. I have asked God to help me in very emotional times and within a day he does. I also have felt that I have powers in my hands. Not in the healing sense really but maybe. I don't know really. At times I have had the urge to place my hands over a persons heart and send energy into them while feeling the energy I am sending and praying at the same time. One person told me that when I did this while laying next to them silently they felt a rush of energy go through their body. He asked me what I just did for he did not know I was doing anything. I told him and he was amazed. He said he felt peace and love and warmth. My energy that I focused on sending was peace to his heart. Another time I placed my hands over an ex while he slept and we were having sevear relationship problems and he had many bad habbits concerning porn and sex. I cried and prayed over him that God would take all the demons out of his being. I prayed for a resolution. The next day my ex left while I was at work and moved 2000 miles away to his parents. I remember the pain I felt and the tears I cried. God answered my prayer by sending him away to allow me time to heal as well as time for him to change. He came back eventually. Those demons didn't all go away but they got better over time. I am interested how you became so in touch with your spirit that you were able to begin channeling your energy in that way?

What an interesting story. When I was about 20, I met a girl that was previously in a car accident and her ear drum was blown from the impact.

The doctors told her she would never hear again out of her ear. I prayed for her ear, she went to the doctors, they tested her and she had 75% hearing back in her ear.

They were baffled by this and couldn't figure it out. So I know how you are feeling! I'm glad to read your story.
