Should I tell my new doctor about a previous negative experience with another physician?

About a month ago I met with primary care physician for a physical and mentioned that I had some concerns about my inability to focus. He shot me down rather quickly and said he didn't think ADHD was my problem. I decided to seek out another PCP to talk to him about the problems I have been struggling with, and I wondering if it is a good idea to mention my previous negative experience. I don't want to come off as just looking for drugs, and I have no problem with a doctor giving me another diagnosis, so long as they listen to me.

I wouldn't talk about the previous doctor at first. You want an unbiased opinion, then afterwards you could mention it if you feel this doctor is really listening to your concerns. In my experience in general, each doctor has differing opinions and if you aren't satisfied then there is nothing wrong with seeking other doctors. Sometimes this is the only way to get to the bottom of your problems. Good luck.
